A Magic Town


Remember that Jerez is the magic town of the state of Zacatecas, so this makes the city special for the tourism in Mexico, and for the state too.

The building house of Ramon Lopez Velarde museum, wich still preserves manuscrites and personal items of the poet. Jerez is the birthplace of Ramon Lopez Velarde, a poet whose best known works include La Suave Patria.




Hinojosa theater and City Halls are other buildings of great architectural value.

Founded in the 16th century. Its name comes from the arabian word “Scherisch” that means “the place where there’s a lot of vegetables” and was named by the spanish conquereers beacause of the appearance of this place that was like the town of Jerez in Spain.
